Alessandro Nocentini was born in Florence, Italy in 1949 where he lives and works. Since 1973, he has been showing his work and received recognition from the international art world. He is known for being one of Italy's best engravers and etchers of the second generation, earning praise from the critics and the public. Nocentini's graphics are individually water-coloured after pressing resulting in a lyrical effect of remarquable intensity and beauty. His subjects are drawn from nature and hold an organic quality that is the foundational strength of all his works.
